Tracy has been a leader in the Puget Sound community for nearly 15 years and actively involved in a variety of nonprofit organizations. To name a few, she has served as the President of the King County Washington Women Lawyers, an executive board member of Legal Voice, and the boards of Washington Women Lawyers and UW Women's Center. She has volunteered with a number of nonprofit organizations including the Bellevue Philharmonic, PONCHO, SAM, DIFFA-Seattle, and the UW Women's Center. She is also currently a member of Women in Democracy, Executive Alliance, and the Northwest Development Officers Association.

Tracy has worked on behalf of Washington, youth, families, and victims of domestic violence for the past seven years. She contributed to the following publications focused on juvenile and criminal justice: Washington: An Assessment of Access to Counsel and Quality of Representation in Juvenile Offender Matters and Beyond the Conviction: What Defense Attorneys in Washington State Need to Know About Collateral and Other Non-Confinement Consequences of Criminal Convictions. She also participated in a workgroup of the Washington State Supreme Court Gender and Justice Commission to author a bench guide for Washington judges focused on The Hague Convention on International Child Abduction and the special issues surrounding victims of domestic violence.

Before joining Children’s Trust Foundation, Tracy developed a strong track record for business development and fundraising, working with several of Seattle’s most prominent businesses and nonprofits, including the Seattle Art Museum, Amazon.com, and, more recently, Foodista.com.

After graduating from Seattle University School of Law, magna cum laude, Tracy clerked at the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division I, for the Honorable Susan R. Agid, practiced commercial litigation, and more recently worked as an Assistant Deputy Prosecuting Attorney at the King County Prosecutor’s Office.

Tracy lives in Capitol Hill with her husband, John Chase, with whom she shares a passion for travel, sailing, wine, and food. In her free time, she is a contributing editor to and board member of Foodista.com, the online cooking encyclopedia everyone can edit.

 

JOHANNA WENDER

Johanna coordinates marketing, communications, and development for Children's Trust. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of Washington, and is currently finishing her Master of Arts in Psychology at Seattle University, studying existential phenomenological therapeutic psychology. Johanna is also

working as a Child and Family Therapist Intern at Children's Trust partner, RAYS.

Previously, Johanna served as the marketing manager for Hidden City Entertainment. She first began her work in the field of family support and mental health as a research assistant at John Gottman's Relationship Research Institute.

Johanna is also an avid classical pianist and has been teaching and performing in the greater Seattle area for the past eleven years.

Johanna lives in Seattle with her husband, Jonathan, with whom she shares a passion for cooking, food, wine, travel, and running. She is also a volunteer with The Neighborhood Cooking Foundation, a nonprofit organization that cooks and serves gourmet meals to the homeless community in Seattle, as well as Rise N' Shine, a nonprofit organization that provides emotional support to children and teens affected by HIV/AIDS.
