Birte Falconer
Birte Falconer, is a former board member and a current member of our Grants Committee.
Long before joining the board, Birte and her family supported Children’s Trust Foundation’s work. “Children’s Trust Foundation has been known to me from its very beginning. My husband and I have been supporters because the need is obvious and I trust Children’s Trust Foundation to support promising projects. Basing the interventions on strengthening and supporting families makes so much sense to me. In my past work as a nurse I learned the importance of working with the family to promote healing and as a parent I know of vulnerable moments where you rely on support from family and friends. It is inspiring to see and support the people in the community who are actively involved in work to improve conditions for families.”
Birte is a native to Denmark and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington to become a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Her experience includes medical, surgical, and critical care nursing, as well as home health.
